This is what friends are for!

This was originally going to be my reply to the wonderful comments from my What the fuck is wrong with me post on wanting to clean. But then in my wordiness it morphed into its own post. Tadaa!!( well and I learned how to post videos..wheee)

I have to say Thank you to the lovely ladies that made me feel less alone and messed up than I already may or may not have prescription medication for. It is nice to know that I am not alone in my weirdness and with company like that who’s complaining!!
So Cub went to his play date and they kept him for dinner too. The man I sleep with didn’t end up going golfing because it was SNOWING.. yes at the end of MAY..SNOW.. I have many words to say about that and suffice it to say that none of them are good.  He did end up being out, so that left me alone. ALONE, so what did I do..

I took some advice from my friends!

I sat down and read the paper, with a cup of coffee. I perused the interwebs, had a shower – yes complete with peeping kitty for company.
Then
I cranked up the tunes, I meant to put on my not Cub appropriate music….but apparently Itunes and I were destined to fight so I ended up playing  a little of this
…..

and I turned it waaayyyy up, loudest it has ever been since we moved in. In fact I forgot what it was like to crank the music up that loud. The kitten took off and hid underneath the bed. Fat cat put his ears in the downward pissed off position and waddled off to the basement. The dog, well, the good news was the music was so loud he couldn’t hear anything to bark at, so it was BLISS!
And yes, I cleaned! But I did not spend the whole day cleaning. I cleaned and it was beautiful. I didn’t have anyone ok a little whirlwind running around behind me and I got to enjoy it for a while. Until I was the best Mommy ever! And I let Cub do this:

Then the man whose stomach apparently doesn’t like the Chinese food we ordered in because Cub was out for dinner and I settled in to watch a little hockey, have a few bevy’s and hum our new favorite tune.

It was a perfect day in a great weekend, well minus the snow, THAT Shit can piss the hell off!

Oh and P.S.
For  Dani and Brite!  I was completely floored over the Blue Rodeo/Jim Cuddy conversations, . Dani: Shits starting to get creepy now.. and Brite.. You MET him… *sigh* That man could sing anything and make it sound wonderful! They are one of my all time favorite bands and this is currently getting over played in my house!

Ooooooh I love Spirit of the West! They did a Saturday afternoon main stage concert at the EFMF as few years ago...the whole hill was bouncing and jumping and dancing!
Had to go buy one of their cd's for The Max after that.

I KNOW, RIGHT? Blue Rodeo is da bomb!! He has an amazing voice.

You might also enjoy Sons of Maxwell. They have a similar sound to Spirit of the West. I used to know Dave Carroll (lead singer) he was a client at TD. Fabolus guy...

So happy you enjoyed your day. Weird or not - days like that are very good for the soul.

Sounds like an awesome day!! Yay for you. And only a good mom would let Cub do that, after you cleaned.

Glad you got some "me" time.

In spite of everything, it sounds like you had a great day... if for no other reason than having the MUSIC loud!!!!!!!!
