Who’s there?
Amethyst Anne.
Amethyst Anne who?
{Sigh}
Exactly!
I’ve had a case of the absentee blogger virus that seems to be making its rounds these days. Well that, and to be quite honest, I’ve been a bit busy in my real life. I’ve only had time to skulk about on the interwebs, randomly popping up here and there- really much more there than here.
Last time I checked it was the beginning of November and the month was full of promise and joy, then we got slammed with one hell of a cold snap around here that apparently froze my mental connection to the internet. See? Mother Nature is a whore, a brain freezing whore!
Then we went away for a weekend, and another weekend got swallowed up by a flu ( Read: hangover) that I haven’t experienced in a long, long time. I swear once and a while it is really nice to let loose, kick up your heels, do some shots( ok not really but it sounds much more like me) and pretend you are twenty something again. Sadly my body and liver had other plans for me.
I had some work to do in between weekends, and some Cub related stuff in there too. There was the anniversary thing, and the family thingsssssss....and the nothingness things.
This weekend , we did up Cub’s 7th birthday party. His actual birthday isn’t until next month ( see how I make that sound so far away and not Wednesday??) but this party was for his friends. It was a hoot and Cub spent the whole day surrounded by 7 of his closest friends, loving every minute of it! The kids were awesome and kind, and there was only one high maintenance child there (not mine either- he’s awesome if I do say so myself- but I may be slightly biased)
So yup, that’s pretty much been my November- I know hey – hold on to your hat’s people cause it’s been a whoot and a half !
December is right around the corner and with it comes the stress inducing, havoc that is Christmas. We are currently trying to figure out where we are going to put the Christmas tree, because well, you may remember this...
Let’s just say that she’s not as small as she was last year, and we need to secure the tree to the ceiling so that it doesn’t come crashing down. I would also rather like to be able to actually put some decorations on the tree this year so she and I will be spending a little time discussing the sentimental value of my Christmas ornaments.
I'm sure once I calmly explain it to her she will understand.
I'll keep you posted!
Smooches.

Yeah ... good luck with that! I can hardly wait until my bad ass cat gets a load of a Christmas tree. I think I had better skip the glass horney-ments this year.
We've got the outside done and I am working on getting the inside clean so I can start decorating in here. I have all this time on my hands ... zero money, mind you ... but time galore.
So good to hear from you ... I've been missing you.
D
Hey you... I've missed you too! The flu? I had it... or it's cousin, pneumonia.. it kicked my butt the first week of October and it took me a while to get over it... blerk.
The semester is almost over... I am excited about that. :o)
