You’d think that after 9 years he’d have at least some semblance of knowledge. You’d think that at some point he would have got the hint, clued in?
*sigh*
Not so much..
Every night it is the same damn thing. I crawl into bed, get all snuggly with my pillow and turn on my side, I fluff, I flop the covers around and prepare for a sweet nobody needs anything from me coma… then in crawls X. He fluffs, flops and snuggles with me…bring on the bliss. Then, just as I have almost succumbed to the sweet sexiness of dreamland …

Rub, rub…
“I was almost asleep”
Nudge, Nudge
“Seriously? Where were you when I crawled into bed?”
Rub, Rub.
“Not tonight, I’m not interested.”
Rub, Rub, Paws boob.
*smack*
“You are NOT SERIOUS!...No..now leave me alone.”
X rolls over, and sweet dreamland beckons me once more….almost EXACTLY one hour later….
Nudge, Nudge,
“Stop it!”
I roll onto my back
Whining and rubbing.
“ Seriously! Good GOD. STOP IT!!
The whining increases..to a virtual howl
“ Will you go to sleep if I do? Of course you will, you prick. All I want to do is sleep… Alright FINE”
* Rolls over, grabs Cat and brings him in tight for a snuggle* but not too tight or he will kick me. Once I have his fat ass settled the howl converts to a purr, then he puts his two paws on my hand and all is quiet.
